Nomvula Gebashe started singing in the church at age ten and soon became the lead singer in school and church choirs.
She has always loved singing and acting but, unable to afford music school, instead joined a famous youth group in Alexandra Township called Amakhono Westintu, with whom she toured Europe and China.
As the years progressed she developed her vocal skills and became a lead singer, also learning dance.
She is now a well-rounded performer and has danced with the Gauteng Dance Manyano, a traditional dance initiative of the Gauteng government, and performed in Drumstruck at the Market Theater and in New York in 2005, before joining Soweto Gospel Choir.
