Mark Mazibuko joined the choir in 2007 and has risen from obscurity and poverty to prominence.
He first captured attention when he was noticed singing for his school choir which he has been doing since the age of six. He was introduced to Joyce Levinsohn, Artistic Director of the Johannesburg Youth Theatre. After hearing him sing just a few lines, she was very impressed and took him under her wing.
This led to him being cast in a lead role for the Johannesburg Youth Theatre’s production of ‘The World of Beatrix Potter’, where he enchanted theatregoers with his superb singing, dancing and engaging smile.
Mark’s music teachers believe he has a God-given talent which will take him places with the right mentoring. His passion is for gospel music.
